| SpeechFirst Global Commands |

Following is the list of Global commands. The global commands are always active. They can be effectively used for navigating SpeechDesk enabled websites and some IE browser functions. |

Main Menu
This command will list out all the main commands on the page.
Stop Talking
This will stop current narration, if any.
Read Screen
This will start the screen-reading of current mode.
Read Selection
To read selected text of the page. |

| General Operating Tips |

SpeechFirst will automatically start when the system starts. A headset icon will appear in the tray.

If SpeechFirst is closed or doesn’t start automatically, double-click on the SpeechFirst on your desktop or select SpeechFirst from Start menu, Program Files, SpeechFirst, SpeechFirst.

Spend 5- 10 minutes with the system to train a profile – it enhances recognition accuracy. Profile can be done by selecting Speech Icon from Control Panel and then click New for creating new profile by following the wizard.

Operate in quiet surroundings. Noisy surroundings will compromise accuracy in recognition.

For best performance use headset microphones and speakers.

Configure the microphone settings before the first use. You can do this by selecting speech icon in the control panel and selecting microphone settings.

The Site can work in a speech-enabled mode only if SpeechDesk customizes it.

To exit SpeechFirst, right click on the SpeechFirst icon and select exit.
